• The Barbershop Harmony Society" has a description of the barbershop art form.
• NPR's "Morning Edition" program recently produced an excellent article called "Barbershop Quartets, Present at the Creation", complete with video clips. There are also several neat audio clips and even some audio descriptions, such as one on the barbershop seventh chord by Jim Henry (bass of the "Gas House Gang", an international champion quartet) and another on the barbershop style by noted arranger, David Wright.

• NPR's "Morning Edition" program recently produced an excellent article called "Barbershop Quartets, Present at the Creation". There is a considerable amount of detail here on the history of barbershop, including several audio clips from old by-gone quartets.

Other A-Cappella Music

• NPR also had a program called "A-Cappella U." referring to the recent resurgance of interest in a-cappella music on American college campuses.
